Individuals
This deck of cards consists of 52 cards - like a year consists of 52 weeks. Pick a card every Monday and make the question on it the theme of your week.
Observe yourself in daily situations and spot your areas for improvement. Use the Aces to give yourself a break!
Groups
-
Let each participant pick a card and answer the questions. Use them as prompts for discussions or inspiration to brainstorm, to find out best practices.
-
Take identical cards from two decks and create a memory game! Lay the cards face down on the table, in several rows, and let each player turn over two cards. The first player who finds a match, answers the questions of this pair of cards. Afterwards you can discuss them or continue playing.
Other creative ideas
Barbara Reale used the cards recently in one of her cooking workshops for a management team of one of her corporate clients, and she made up the following rules:
-
Distribute all the cards to the players. The goal is to get rid of your cards first.
-
The person with the highest number of cards begins with one card of their choice from their hand.
-
From 2 to 10, read the question out loud and reply honestly to the questions before you put it down on a stack in the middle
-
Ace: shout the message on the card to a collegue who deserves it and add a personal word of appreciation before you put it on the stack in the middle
-
King: Find a card that you don't like and give it to another player to add to their hand. You're the king, so you decide who to give it to. Still answer the question on the King card, before you put it in the middle. (You can also give away the king if you don't want to answer it. However this way you get rid of only one card and you give another person the power to give you another card...)
-
Queen: The gift of choice. Either eat a teaspoon/piece of [x] (something spicy or something you don't like. Remember this was a cooking workshop :)) or admit the biggest mistake you ever made at work.
-
Joker: Ask the question on the card to the person you think would have the best reply
-
The player who gets rid of his/her cards first, wins.
